Grades Eurythmy Teacher

The Austin Waldorf School, a K-12 school located in Austin, Texas, is seeking a full-time eurythmy teacher to join our eurythmy faculty for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.
We are seeking an experienced and certified eurythmy teacher who has demonstrated success in teaching a variety of grade levels and is interested in joining the Austin Waldorf School community for many years to come. Such an individual will model, artistry, dynamism, groundedness, flexibility, empathy, initiative, and great collaborative skills. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency and comfort with classroom management as well as the imagination and artistry necessary for eurythmic work. Our eurythmists have a dedicated eurythmy room, recital hall, and theater/stage at their disposal.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach a full-time eurythmy task to a variety of grades (to be determined): kindergarten, lower grades, middle school, high school.
- Offer performances of student work and contribute to festivals/plays.
- Attend a weekly section meeting
- Contribute to parent mornings and offer curricular presentations
- Collaborate with student support services and colleagues
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and colleagues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Eurythmy Training Certification
- Successful experience teaching different age groups
- Commitment to Waldorf principles and philosophy
