Lead Kindergarten Teacher

City of Lakes Waldorf School seeks a Lead Kindergarten Teacher to join our faculty in August 2022. The teacher will be responsible for providing a Waldorf Early Childhood education to our students, ages 4 to 6 years old. Qualified candidates will have a college degree, a strong interest in Waldorf education and proven capacities for teaching. We are seeking individuals who are committed to self-development, educational equity and inclusion who can provide an age-appropriate curriculum in the context of Waldorf pedagogy. A love of children and a demonstrated capacity to work well with parents is required. The teacher must work collaboratively within the school as a whole, and within the Early Childhood program, which consists of Parent/Toddler, Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten classes.
Qualifications and Benefits: Ideal candidates are Waldorf trained teachers with a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of teaching experience. Strong candidates will be educators with extensive experience with young children. Additional training in educational equity and experience working with diverse populations are a plus. Qualified teachers without Waldorf training will be expected to attend a Waldorf certification program supported by school funding. Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
