Middle School Waldorf Teacher
Apr 07 2022 | River Oak Charter School | Ukiah, California
River Oak Charter School, in gorgeous Mendocino County, is looking to hire a Waldorf trained main lesson teacher to work collaboratively in our middle school. In our 23rd year, we are adapting to a 1-5 loop and middle school specialization. Ideally we would love to have four specialists in the 6-8th grades.
We currently have three experienced teachers specializing in science, social studies, math, and movement. We are looking for a language arts focused teacher who could also teach specialty classes which could be a myriad of possibilities (foreign language, music, handwork, arts, etcetera) that could be taught to multiple grades. Collaborative working on behalf of student needs would be a focus for the team. The teacher would also be responsible for creating main lesson blocks for sixth, seventh and eighth grades, rotating from one grade to the next throughout the year. We are looking to invigorate our already strong school with new ideas and energy.
Step and column/DOE/Generous Health Benefits/STRS Retirement
Requirements / Qualifications: Single Subject Credential OR
Multiple Subject Teaching Credential - General Subjects (or eligibility to qualify for one)
Comments and Other Information:
3-5 years experience preferred; Spanish/English, Bilingual desirable; Waldorf Certificate preferred
Apply at: https://www.edjoin.org/Home/DistrictJobPosting/
