Escuelita Zantli is looking for a creative, warm, and caring teacher with initiative and confidence in their leadership capabilities to run our small kindergarten program from June 2022 in Popoyo.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in early childhood development, with experience and training in Waldorf or nature-based education and proficiency in Spanish and English. Come ready to join our small but adventurous team with an open, adaptive mind and passionate heart. You’ll be someone who wants to be part of the creative process of continuing to grow this initiative from its roots.

These are critical times, as old structures and ways are falling apart all around us. There’s no denying the pain, fear, and chaos. But, there is also an incredible opportunity here for us to envision a better world and be part of the rebuilding process. And who better to start this dream building with and for than our children!

Zantli is a play and nature-based program influenced by Waldorf Education and the science of attachment, located in a small off-the-beaten-track surfing hub, Popoyo.

What started as a passion project among a group of mothers from different parts of the world, united by their collective desire to educate children in a wholesome and hands-on way, has blossomed into Escuelita Zantli. We started classes in Sep 2021 in our beautiful space with gardens, trails, and ocean views. Surf and swim lessons form part of the curriculum. We also offer parent-child classes to create a supportive continuum for both parents and children from birth to the start of school.

Nicaragua has a lot to offer, especially during these difficult times. While most of the world is struggling through lockdowns, curtailed personal freedom, and freezing cold weather, the day-to-day reality here in the tropics is dramatically different: sunny, simple, tranquil, and very relaxed.

Nicaragua being an impoverished country, there is much need, but incredible resources are also available. Creativity, passion, and determination are being called for to create the missing bridge. That’s how we fell in love with Nicaragua and how Escuelita Zantli was born. We invite and challenge you to join our movement and make a difference with us.
