First Grade Teacher 2022-23
Apr 04 2022 | The City School DBA Valley Waldorf City School | Lake Balboa, CA
The bright, eager students of Valley Waldorf City School (a.k.a. The City School) are looking forward to meeting their first grade teacher for the 2022-23 school year. Could it be you?
We are a small, community-based school in the Los Angeles San Fernando Valley, founded 22 years ago, and have grown greatly since then. We are associate members of both WECAN and AWSNA.
We are sending an invitation to our colleagues willing to take on the exciting challenge of growing and developing this beautiful, diverse community where Waldorf pedagogy is valued, nurtured, and practiced.
We are located on a charming, park-like, one acre property in Lake Balboa, CA and our present enrollment stands at 55 students – spanning PreK to Eighth Grade. Our class size tends to be small, usually 8-12 students. Our governance is a collaborative endeavor. All teachers have a voice relating to the health and well-being of the school. We also strongly encourage and welcome parents to become involved.
Our ideal candidate would hold their BA and a Waldorf Teaching Certificate, with experience in grades teaching. We would consider a candidate who holds a BA and is in the process of completing their Waldorf certification.
In addition to monetary compensation, main class teachers receive tuition remission for their children.
You can find more information on our website at www.valleywaldorfcity school.org and we invite you to inquire further. We would be glad to engage in a conversation and work with you to arrange a visit.
You may send your inquiry, cover letter, current resume, and 3 professional references to Sarah Northrip at sarah@valleywaldorf.org. If you have questions, you may call (818) 776-0011.
