The Shambhala School, Halifax, Nova Scotia is looking for an exceptional teacher to deliver our Waldorf inspired, play based Kindergarten (called Primary in Nova Scotia) curriculum in a beautiful established classroom setting for the 2022-23 school year. This teacher is responsible for carrying out a 5 day per week full day Primary (Kindergarten) program. A job share for this position is also a possibility. A job description will be provided upon application.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education Degree and/or Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher Training
Experience in / knowledge of Waldorf or Enki educational philosophy a must
Two years experience with children under the age of 7
Applicants must also:
Be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
Hold a current certificate in First Aid & CPR or willing to obtain
Have completed a current criminal record check & child abuse registry
Be able to lift 50 pounds
Be able to climb stairs & sit on the floor
