Middle School Collaborative Teacher 2022/2023
The Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor is seeking a Full Time Middle School Collaborative Teacher for the 2022/2023 school year.
Located in Ann Arbor, Michigan on two beautiful campuses, our school offers a comprehensive Waldorf program that serves a diverse range of children. Our Lower School Campus, situated on 12 wooded and grassy acres, houses our Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grades and currently enrolls 236 students. We offer a rich and engaging Waldorf curriculum that includes two world languages (Spanish and German), handwork, art, strings and orchestra, singing, games/movement and gardening.
The Middle School Collaborative Teacher is a key member of RSSAA and must work closely with the other Faculty, the Lower School Coordinator and the All School Administrator to promote an exemplary educational program and maintain a positive learning environment. The Middle School Collaborative Teacher shall implement the program as determined by the College of Teachers.
Training/Educational Requirements
• Waldorf Teacher Preparation in either Elementary or High School Education
• Bachelors Degree
Teaching and Curriculum Responsibilities
• Responsible for at least two Main Lesson Blocks each for Grades 6-8, in area of expertise.
• Develop and support curriculum initiatives designed to support students of various levels of skill as well as supporting new incoming students – ie. Classes related to student level of mastery in Language and Music.
Other Responsibilities
• Parent/student support
• Community outreach
• Middle School building operations
