Spanish Specialty Teacher - 2022/23

Berkeley Rose Waldorf School seeks a Spanish teacher for the 2022/23 academic school year. The ideal applicant will be an experienced elementary and middle school language teacher who demonstrates fluency and knowledge of Spanish cultural traditions and ideally is Waldorf-trained. The teacher will be responsible for providing instruction to our grades program. We seek a teacher who has excellent organizational, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
Berkeley Rose Waldorf School serves children in nursery through eighth grade, with a student body of 155. Located near downtown Berkeley and the Cal campus, Berkeley Rose is easily accessible by bus, rapid public transit, and bike. As a community, Berkeley Rose offers an environment in which communication is transparent, compassionate, and open, and where diversity of all kinds is supported. It is a school that is open-minded and supports families exploring and discovering the best choices for their children. Berkeley Rose is a nonprofit 501c3; is a member of WECAN; and is a developing member of AWSNA. On the About Us page, you may view the dynamic group of educators who make up this growing school. All our lead teachers and most of our subject and assistant teachers are Waldorf-trained.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The position can be hourly or salaried, depending on teacher’s needs and expertise.
