Education Director

The Education Director provides administrative leadership, oversight, and coordination of the faculty and educational program. With extensive experience in Waldorf Education at the high school level, the Education Director manages the planning, on-going development, implementation, and evaluation of the academic program.
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Executive Director, recruit and hire highly qualified teachers with demonstrated experience or interest in Waldorf Education. Ensure compliance with all federal and state credentialing and other requirements.
Coordinate faculty onboarding, new teacher orientation and mentoring
Set and review teachers’ annual classroom and professional development goals
Identify individual faculty professional development training and mentoring needs.
Observe and evaluate teachers in accordance with evaluation policy.
Serve as resource and support to teachers in lesson planning and delivery; teach demonstration lessons on occasion.
Plan and Lead on-site professional development for teachers.
Propose new policies and procedures to the Executive Director to better meet the responsibilities of the position.
Participate in the design and implementation of student assessment and reporting
Assess parent education needs and develop and deliver school and community presentations and programs as necessary.
Attend most community meetings, assemblies, open houses and other significant festivals and events in the school year.
