Lead EC/Kindergarten Teacher

We are a nature-based program located on 130 acres in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina, outside of Asheville.
We are looking for an energetic, committed person to lead our EC program.
The position requires a knowledge and experience in the early childhood time, as well as the abilities to:
-Plan the daily, weekly and block rhythms of the year. These plans are developed in accordance with the principles of Waldorf pedagogy and in light of the needs of the class
-Commit to staff responsibilities including weekly meetings and attending/supporting community events/festivals
-Build a healthy class community
-Support the parental body
-Be outdoors extensively with the children
Position Details: 4 days per week, full day program. Salaried upon experience. Alternative teacher benefits package.
Minimum Qualifications:
1 – 2 years of previous relevant EC experience
Relevant experience in a Waldorf inspired program or some demonstrable training in Waldorf pedagogy
