We are seeking candidates who are innovative, creative and flexible and ready to join us wholeheartedly in continuing to develop a unique Waldorf-based educational environment. Our ideal candidate will be striving for excellence in teaching and committed to dialogue with parents and colleagues.
Our rising first grade class is vibrant and full of joy for play and work. They are surrounded by committed and involved parents and are awaiting their dynamic and attentive class teacher.

- Teaching Credential (or enrolled)
- Love of and experience in the arts, for example, music, handwork, and painting
About us:
Heartwood Charter School is a Waldorf-based educational program. We are a growing K-8 program.
We are going into our eight year of operation at our beautiful Camp Bothin location and have existed as a public Waldorf program in the valley for the past 15 years. Our campus is nestled on the edge of West Marin in a small valley surrounded by 150 acres of wooded hills, trails, waterfalls and seasonal creeks. Our classrooms reside in historic buildings, a cozy red barn, and embracing yurts.
Our initiative is sustained by innovative pioneers and warm-hearted, dedicated parents and teachers. We, the members of this educational community, are courageous, enthusiastic, bold, kind and a bit wild at heart. We believe there should be no limits on access to education. Education should be based in holistic child development and involve a living connection with both the arts and the natural world.
