Handwork Teacher
Malamalama Waldorf School is seeking a part-time (6-9hrs/week) Handwork Teacher to finish out the current school year and for the 2022/23 school year whose love for children is complimented by their ability to work well with colleagues and parents. We are looking for individuals with the enthusiasm and commitment to Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy.
Our School Community
We are accredited by AWSNA, WECAN, HAIS, and WASC. Malamalama Waldorf School was founded in 1978 by a group of devoted parents and educators seeking a different educational experience for children in the Puna district of the Big Island.
Malamalama Waldorf School is nestled on 20 acres in Hawaiian Paradise Park located on the East side of the Big Island. Hawai`i Island is rich in cultural diversity as well as boasting a most unusual landscape including volcanic activity, ranch lands, and beaches. You can surf in the morning and don winter apparel for a respectful visit to the snowy slopes of the sacred Maunakea.
Our inspiring faculty are enthusiastic with a commitment to Waldorf education delivered with warmth and through collaboration. In addition to Handwork, our dedicated Specialty Subject teachers provide Movement, Hawaiian Studies and Language, Japanese language, and music.
