Games/Movement Teacher

Portland Waldorf School is welcoming applications for a full-time Games/Movement Teacher for the 2022-23 school year. Successful candidates will enthusiastically and energetically engage students in grades 3-12 , will have a working understanding of students’ social and physical development, and will work collaboratively with other faculty and administrators to create an educational environment that is aligned with the school mission and program goals.

A Bachelor’s Degree and teaching experience is required; Preferred candidates have received a Waldorf Teacher training certificate, have completed the Spacial Dynamics program, and ideally have Waldorf teaching experience. This position will also coordinate and participate in all lower school annual regional athletic events including Olympiad, Medieval Games, Grade 7/8 Track Meets.

We are looking for an individual dedicated to Waldorf education, with love and enthusiasm for teaching. We value collaborative working relations among our colleagues, confidence in representing Waldorf education to the broader community, and dedication to the whole school.

Portland Waldorf School was founded in 1982 and is fully accredited through AWSNA. Our high school is accredited through Cognia. We serve students in Early Childhood through 12th grade on a beautiful seven-acre campus. We offer a full Waldorf curriculum, as well as a middle and high school athletics program.
