Class Teacher Positions in Public Waldorf Charter School

SunRidge Charter School is accepting applications for first-grade and fourth-grade class teacher positions for the 2022-23 school year. Sun Ridge is a Waldorf-inspired charter school serving 260 students in grades K-8. SunRidge’s talented faculty is supported by an involved parent body and a collaborative model of governance. Our holistic curriculum provides specialty instructors for classes in Handwork, Woodwork, Spanish, Games, Gardening, and Instrumental Music.

Qualified Applicants must have a California Teaching Credential, or be enrolled in a credential program. Waldorf Certification, or being enrolled in an approved Waldorf certification program, or experience is highly desirable.

We seek candidates who have an unqualified love of children, high academic standards, the ability to respect and engender the respect of students of all ages, the knowledge, skill, and enthusiasm to engage students of all temperaments and ability levels, and the interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, and parents. Strong skills in art, music, and/or drama are a major plus. Previous experience as a Waldorf class teacher in multiple grades is highly desired.

SunRidge School is located in the small town of Sebastopol, California. Sebastopol is one hour north of San Francisco, 20 minutes from the Pacific Ocean, in the coastal hills of beautiful, and progressive, Sonoma County. Our teachers are employees of the Twin Hills School District.
