Nursery Assistant Needed

Maple Hollow Playschool is seeking a Nursery Assistant to help in our cozy home-based playschool We are located in SW Portland.
We are looking for a caring, warm and joyful assistant to work in our small in-home nursery program. We have a small cohort of children ages 18 months to 3 years,
Hourly wage based on experience, $17.50 - $19.50 per hour.
Hours needed are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The duties of this position include the following:

Help with clean-up after snack and morning activities and lunch; help with cooking prep, crafts. Maintain a tidy kitchen area and common areas. Help with maintaining our weekly rhythm. Help lead teacher with settling children for rest.
Sense of humor is a plus!
The candidate must meet State Guidelines for working in an Oregon Registered Family Home Facility. Ideally the candidate will have a minimum of one year experience working in a State Certified childcare center, work well with colleagues, communicate well, be comfortable in an Assistant role, and have a desire to learn about Waldorf Philosophy.
The candidate must be able to lift 40 lbs, and be able to complete the State of Oregon Safety Set (First Aid/CPR certification, Food Handlers Permit, Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect, Introduction to Childcare Center Health and Safety, and Prevention is Better Than Treatment) and be registered in the Criminal Background Registry for the State.
