Class Teacher

The Washington Waldorf School, is seeking a Class Teacher starting in July 2022 for the 2022-2023 school year.
We seek a caring, capable, and energetic teacher who is committed to the ideals of Waldorf education and who wishes to be an active member of our vibrant Waldorf community. The person in this position is responsible for teaching the morning main lesson and other additional lessons, overseeing the social health of the class, attending faculty meetings, preparing student reports, serving on committees, holding regular parent evenings, and entering into the life of the school community.
Requirements include a four-year college degree and Waldorf elementary certification. Waldorf teaching experience is highly preferred.

Washington Waldorf School is located on a beautiful 6-acre campus in Bethesda, Maryland, a short distance from Washington DC, and within walking distance of the Potomac River. Our enrollment is about 300 students, from infancy through grade 12. We are fully accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America and the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools. Typical class size ranges from 18-25 students. We completed an extensive renovation of our building in 2015, and are planning additional improvements in the coming years.
