Farm and Forest Summer Daycamp Lead Teacher in ADKs
Mar 04 2022 | Lakeside School at Black Kettle Farm | Essex, NY
Lakeside School is now accepting applications for our Lead Summer Camp Teacher for the coming weekly day camp. The teacher will be responsible for our eight-week Farm and Forest Camp from June 27 to August 19, Monday through Friday. This decade old Waldorf day camp, for ages 4 to 7, introduces young children to forest and farm adventures in a loving and supportive style. The lead teacher will plan and implement activities and adventures, including hiking, gardening, art and science projects, animal care, cooking, and nature study. We are seeking an individual with outdoor teaching and gardening experience, and a love for taking young children outdoors. Waldorf experience is also a plus. The Lead Teacher will work with an Assistant Teacher to run camp for 9 children each week, from 8:15am to 2:15pm. Position requires training and planning in coordination with Lakeside faculty and staff this spring. Current CPR/First Aid Training is required. Lakeside can cover costs of recertification. Lodging on site provided if needed.
