Come teach at Head, Heart, and Hands Homeschool Enrichment Program outdoors in San Juan Capistrano on a beautiful private property with a creek running through. Head, Heart, and Hands offers homeschool enrichment classes for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. We currently offer main lesson classes that follow traditional Waldorf blocks of study and incorporate mathematics, language arts, social sciences, science, music, art, and movement. We also offer specialty classes including nature studies, ukulele, Spanish, chess, farm animal husbandry, yoga, skateboarding, and handwork. Head, Heart, and Hands is a place where children can come together to participate in Waldorf, nature-immersion, project-based and self-directed educational experiences with loving, experienced, and passionate teachers. It is a space for like-minded families to gather and build connections. Our enrichment classes are designed to support children’s homeschooling journey, not replace it. Head, Heart, and Hands is not a public or private school. California homeschooling families are required to file either a private school affidavit or enroll in a public charter school. Our goal is to offer children an individualized educational experience that creates opportunities to find their talents and passions.

Our programs have a low student-teacher/guides ratio of 16 children to 1 adult. Our Kindergarten class has a main teacher and an assistant. Main Class Teachers are paid $35 an hour. Main Class Teachers work Tuesday through Friday from 8-1 and are paid for an additional hour of prep each day they work. Head, Heart, and Hands Main Class Teacher’s children can attend main lesson classes for free. Head, Heart, and Hands also helps Main Class Teachers pay for qualifying preschool for children ages 2-5.

Head, Heart, and Hands will grow by one grade each year with our students. In the 2021-2022 school year, we are serving children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. In the 2022-2023 school year, we will serve children in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. By the 2024-2025 school year, we will offer services to children in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.

We are looking for experienced, passionate Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 6th grade teachers. We would like candidates to be familiar with Waldorf education and willing to participate in Waldorf trainings. 75% of our Main Class Teachers are Waldorf trained, meet weekly, participate in child studies, and are committed to personal and collective growth.
