Early Child After Care Teacher
Feb 24 2022 | Eastside Community School | Issaquah, Washington
Early Child Aftercare Teacher
Founded in 1995 as Three Cedars Waldorf School, the legacy continues as Eastside Community School moves to Issaquah, WA beginning in September 2021. We seek an Early Child (EC) After Care Teacher. Ideal candidates possess an interest in Waldorf education and wish to work closely within well-established Preschool – Grade 8 Programs that meet Washington State requirements for independent schools.
Bring your enthusiasm for the students, for the curriculum, and for working in partnership with a thriving faculty and parent community. Share your ability to work supportively and flexibly in collaboration with colleagues and your sense of humor.
With both the stability of an established community, and the fresh pioneer spirit of a relatively new Board and identity, we find ourselves in a unique position of being able to draw on the strength of the past, and to ask ourselves questions like what it truly means to be a Waldorf school at this particular juncture in human history, and how we can go beyond labels or dogma to meet the lived experience of our students each day.
Qualifications
• Training or experience working in Early Child education
• Interest in Waldorf Education
• Able, unassisted, to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds in weight
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include dental and health insurance, partial tuition remission, and the possibility for professional development support and mentoring.
*Recruitment and screening of applications are ongoing until the position is filled. To ensure full consideration we encourage candidates to complete and submit applications promptly. Please note that ECS reserves the right — and may exercise the option — to make a hiring decision prior to the conclusion of the recruitment process. Full job descriptions are available upon request.
