Living Oaks is a group of teachers and parents with roots in the Waldorf community. We are a Private Education Association who seek to teach our children in freedom and offer space to blossom through a land based and spiritually centered curriculum inspired by the teachings of Rudolf Steiner. Through collaboration with teachers, administrators, a board of directors and parents we offer education for free thinking individuals in: biodynamic farming, husbandry, sovereign living, within a community system that will allow us to thrive as humans.

Set in Texas’ Hill Country, Living Oaks is nestled amongst live oak trees and bluebonnets on a sprawling 10 acres. Our Private Education Association is seeking candidates who want to join our community for our inaugural year. We are currently seeking a full-time kindergarten teacher for the 2022/2023 school year.

The ideal candidate(s) will:

• Have completed, in the process of completing or desire to become a certified Waldorf teacher.
• Must have a four-year degree, preferably in education or related field or have equivalent experience.
• Have a pioneering spirit
• A strong sense of self-direction
• A joyful, peaceful spirit and gentle influence
• Committed to self-development and excellence in teaching
• Be willing to collaborate with mentors, colleagues and parents
• Devoted to a nurturing and loving classroom environment
• Be a lover of nature and of freedom.

This is a salaried position and offers tuition remission.
