High Mowing School is searching for a School Nurse
Part-time position, available immediately

About the Position
The School Nurse protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success. The School Nurse, grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice, bridges healthcare and education, advocates for quality student-centered care, and collaborates to allow for individuals and the High Mowing community to develop to their full potential.

This position is responsible for providing preventive, acute, and follow-up care for day & boarding students in grades 9 through 12 during the academic year, as well as delegating any necessary health care services as appropriate on the K-8 Pine Hill campus.

The School Nurse functions in accordance with the New Hampshire Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics, and High Mowing’s policies and procedures. This position will work closely with and participate in various forums pertinent to the position: including the National Association for School Nurses, New Hampshire School Nurse Association, ISANNE, NH DHHS, NH DOE, etc. to ensure compliance and stay abreast of the current health practices particular to a school environment.

This part time position is for 15-20 hours per week mid-August through June, with some evening and weekend call time when boarding students are present on campus. Schedule options are 7:30am-4pm two days per week, or 7:30am-1:30pm three days per week, with on-call time flexible.

Qualifications
—Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed in the State of NH
—Eligible for Certification/Certified as a School Nurse by the NH DOE
—Current BLS certification
—Minimum Education: Associates Degree
—Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of adult med/surg, school, or pediatric nursing experience
