Friends of Willow Tree is seeking Teaching Assistants for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Friends of Willow Tree is an enrichment center that offers a curriculum inspired by Waldorf methods to students in grades TK/Kindergarten through 8th. We have an active parent body, a supportive board of directors, and a committed faculty.

LOCATION
Our community will welcome you to our friendly village in North County San Diego. The town of Fallbrook has a lovely Waldorf community, biodynamic farms, study groups, and close proximity to WISC (Waldorf Institute of Southern California). Our program serves a diverse population that might not otherwise have access to a curriculum inspired by Waldorf methods.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an individual who possesses high expectations, a strong sense of personal accountability, a strong “teacherly” presence, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.

As an enrichment program, we work with families who are homeschooling and are either enrolled with an independent study charter or have filed their own Private School Affidavit (PSA).

We look to our teaching assistants to support our children individually or in small groups and help monitor children when they are outside at recess.

COMPENSATION and PERKS
~ Competitive hourly wage ranging from $16 - $17/hour
~ Students only attend Monday - Thursday
~ Small class sizes for ALL grades
~ Hours are flexible (8am - 1:30pm or 8am - 3:30pm)
~ Paid Time Off and Sick Leave
~ Yearly Professional Development Stipend ($500)
~ Tuition remission

QUALIFICATIONS
~ Bachelor’s Degree
~ CPR certified
