Malamalama Waldorf School is seeking an ASSISTANT to a Lead Teacher in our Kinderhale (preschool) program serving children ages 3-6 years of age. You would be working in a supportive role with the main teacher and the class. We are looking for an individual with the enthusiasm and commitment to Waldorf Education. Assistant will preferably be available to begin employment in Hawai`i by August 15, 2022 for the upcoming school year. Can be considered for summer program if prepared to work June 20-July 31.

Our School Community
Malamalama Waldorf School offers preschool through Grade 8. Located in the residential subdivision of Hawaiian Paradise Park, our campus is nestled on a portion of our 20-acre parcel in a beautiful rainforest setting. The Big Island of Hawai`i is rich in cultural diversity as well as boasting a most unusual landscape including volcanic activity, ranch lands, and beaches. You can surf in the morning and don winter apparel for a respectful visit to the snowy slopes of the sacred Maunakea.

Qualifications
Malamalama Waldorf School prefers trained and experienced Waldorf teachers.

Requirements
Must hold a minimum high school diploma, pass a background check and health release, provide a current TB, CPR/First Aid certificate. Eligible to have an Assistant card with Hawai`i Department of Human Services.
