Pedagogical Director

Seacoast Waldorf School is seeking a full – time Pedagogical Director for the 2022-2023 school year and beyond, preferably starting spring 2022.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Waldorf curriculum Grades One through Eight, working knowledge of Waldorf Early Childhood education, a background in Anthroposophy, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain open communication with parents. Administrative and organisational skills, initiative and effective committee work, interest in educational research and participation in school development are strong assets. This new position of Pedagogical Director will focus primarily on pedagogical matters, but also will work closely with the Administrative Director as part of the Administrative team.
About the School: Seacoast Waldorf School is an Associate member of AWSNA that serves students from preschool through eighth grade. We have an extensive specialty schedule, an educational support specialist as well as a full administrative staff. The school is entering its 21st year.
Seacoast Waldorf School is located on the seacoast of Maine, in an area that is rich in arts, culture and history. We are only minutes from the ocean and centrally located between Boston, MA, Portland, ME and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Our school campus is located on 5 acres surrounded by conservation land with woods, trails and many opportunities for exploration.
Compensation: This is a full time, year round position. Our compensation package includes vacation and sick days, tuition remission, professional development opportunities; health insurance and retirement plan.
