Seeking Upper School Pedagogical Level Chair for 2022-2023

Gathering Waters is a new K-12 charter school guided by the core principles of public Waldorf education. We opened our doors in September 2021 for grades K-9, and will add a grade to our growing high school each year. The mission of Gathering Waters Chartered Public School is to offer students an education that enables them to discover their interests and capabilities; explore the surrounding world; and cultivate a lifelong love of learning, a sense of community responsibility and understanding of environmental sustainability. We seek a certified special educator who will make the school’s mission accessible to all students in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire.

Gathering Waters School seeks Upper School Pedagogical Leader candidates with proven teaching experience and a pioneering spirit who are excited to collaboratively build our school. Ideal candidates possess a strong interest in Waldorf education, a multi-disciplinary background, and are committed to serving a diverse population of learners.

The Gathering Waters School Level Chair is responsible for supporting an exemplary Waldorf student experience, supporting the Gathering Waters faculty, and cultivating a culture of collaboration and communication at our school. The Level Chairs will share pedagogical leadership responsibilities with the School Principal. The Level Chair is a 50% position with the expectation that the Chair also teaches for 50% of their full time position.

Our Level Chairs will be:

An experienced Waldorf teacher with a minimum of five years preferred
A dynamic and visionary leader with a strong and positive work ethic
An excellent communicator with the ability to inspire others
A co-worker committed to collaboration and able to form strong partnerships
An experienced leader with a demonstrated ability to bring vision into action
Comfortable with serving a diverse community of students and families
Familiar with public school services, federal title programs and special education services


Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of teaching experience preferred
Experience in pedagogical administration and leadership preferred
Waldorf teacher training and/or Waldorf teaching experience
Bachelor's degree in education or related field
NH teaching credential encouraged

Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and professional development funding.
