Head of School
Jan 31 2022 | Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School Limited | Sydney, Middle Cove
campuses on Sydney’s North Shore, Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School is an independent co-educational school catering for about 450 students from Preschool through to Year 12. Glenaeon is considered to be one of the leading Steiner schools in Australia.
The Steiner approach balances the study of humanities, science, mathematics and technology with the disciplines of movement, fine arts, practical arts and environmental awareness.
The goal of Steiner education at Glenaeon is to educate each student for academic excellence, a love of the arts, and a deep awareness of environmental and social responsibility.
With the decision of Mr Andrew Hill to step down as Head of School from the end of 2022, the School Council now invites applications for the role of Head of School from January 2023.
Mr Hill has led significant developments, including an increased focus on high quality teaching and learning, a focus on personal academic excellence for both staff and students, the introduction of a professional executive structure, and a disciplined financial management approach that has enabled the school to be in a healthy financial position. Glenaeon is a non-selective school that consistently produces excellent results in the HSC, and in 2019 Glenaeon was awarded the NSW Outdoor Education Award for the most outstanding outdoor education program conducted in a NSW school.
Please obtain information about the position by calling the consultant assisting the School, Kathy McLean, of Fish & Nankivell, on 0414 376 698. Applications will close on Monday 28 February 2022. A concurrent search is being conducted.
