Enrichment and Licensed Program Director
The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) is seeking a qualified candidate to join our faculty and staff as Enrichment and Licensed Program Director to begin during April 2022. The Enrichment Director is responsible for leading, organizing and managing both the extended day program and school break camps, including summer camp serving approximately 100 students. The Director has the ability to manage staff with clear expectations, the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff, and runs an exemplary enrichment experience that reflects a Waldorf education. As the Licensed Program Director, this person is responsible for understanding CDHS Rules and Regulations for Childcare Centers and ensures that all licensing requirements are met.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Operations of extended day care and school break camps (10 weeks of camp/35 weeks of extended care)
o Promotion of camp and enrichment programs
o Curriculum planning and scheduling
o Hiring, training and supervision of extended care and camp staff
o Managing student registration and participation in the billing process o Managing student health and safety
o Providing a caring, nurturing and inviting environment responsive to the emotional, social and physical needs of children
o Communicating with parents
o Managing budget, ordering supplies and healthy snack food
o Managing and maintaining extended care room, storage and kitchen
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) and School Age Childcare (SACC) Program licensing o Ensuring ECE and SACC personnel have met all requirements and files are current
o Ensuring ECE and SACC students files are in compliance
o ECE Handbook
o Working with our Licensing representative during visits and throughout the year to ensure the programs are in compliance with licensing regulations
Requirements:
• Large Center Director’s License
• Experience working in childcare or a school setting
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Familiarity with Waldorf philosophy and approach
• Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
Salary Range: $51,000 - $53,000
Available benefits: Health, Dental, Long Term Disability, Retirement Plan, FSA and HRA plans, Tuition Remission for one child.
