Position Open: First Grade Classroom Assistant – PT

Circle of Seasons Charter School, a Public Waldorf Methods School, seeks a caring, enthusiastic PT Classroom Assistant.

The Classroom Assistant assists the lead teacher in the classroom with various activities of the day which include: preparing supplies for learning activities, working with small groups on teacher-directed academic or creative tasks, supervising indoor and outdoor play time, and supporting children in engaging in classroom activities.

Our curriculum includes Fiber Arts, Woodworking, World Languages (German, Spanish, and French), Gardening, Music, and Fine Arts. Our faculty engages in ongoing professional development, working collaboratively and individually to develop skill in designing instruction and creating classroom experiences that build caring communities.

The position includes participation in the 403b retirement plan.

Qualifications:
o A passion for working with children, strong self-direction, musical and artistic inclinations, and a developed sense of themselves as educators working with children.
o Experience working with children at the early childhood or elementary level
o Required background clearances, physical examination and TB test
o Waldorf experience is preferred
