Practical Arts Teacher - Grades 7-12
Jan 18 2022 | Waldorf School of Orange County | Costa Mesa, CA
We are seeking a Practical Arts teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.
This position teaches art blocks in grades 7 through 12, and the ideal candidate will have experience with this age group and hold a Waldorf Teacher Training certificate.
Practical Arts are held in high regard at WSOC, with grade 7 designing and building their own doll and grade 8 using a pattern and sewing machine. There is ample time given each week for these classes.
In the High School, students have experienced a variety of mediums over the years, from basket weaving to leatherwork. Other skills include bookbinding, jewelry making, weaving, sewing, and building marionette puppets. We are very open to bringing new impulses to the students that are living within the teacher and we have a comfortable budget and space to work in.
If you are interested in applying, please send your letter of introduction and resume to employment@waldorfschool.com. You can also send an email and we will arrange a time to discuss the position with you.
