Lower Grades Class Teachers
Dec 21 2021 | Camellia Waldorf School | Sacramento, CA
Camellia Waldorf School is seeking applicants for Class Teacher positions in the lower grades. Opportunities exist to begin now during the 2021-22 school year as well as for the start of the 2022-23 school year.
Located in the serene Pocket Area of Sacramento, California, Camellia Waldorf School, founded in 1989, is an AWSNA-accredited urban school with over 170 students from diverse backgrounds. Our strong and devoted community boasts dedicated parents and friends. Our Board of Trustees is made up of current parents, members of the faculty, and enthusiastic parents of long-graduated alums.
We offer classes from preschool through eighth grade. Our program includes Spanish, Music, Handwork, Woodworking, Movement and Gardening. Camellia is committed to bringing the fullest curriculum to the students, maintaining the health of the teachers, and to the continued study of anthroposophy.
Our ideal candidates will have completed their Waldorf teacher training, have successful teaching experience, possess a strong relationship to anthroposophy, and demonstrate a commitment beyond the classroom. We are looking for teachers committed to working collaboratively with colleagues and our parent community. A candidate for this position should be aware that we are teaching outdoors this school year and may need to continue to do so next year, depending on circumstances regarding Covid. Any familiarity or experience with distance teaching would be considered a bonus.
The Camellia community is a warm and welcoming, combining strong heart forces with a practical organization. We strive for diversity, and we celebrate one another.
Please send a cover letter, work resume, personal biographical statement, and professional references to jobs@camelliawaldorf.org.
