Preschool Director- Cairn Hill Nature Preschool – Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate leader for an established preschool with a Waldorf and nature focus. Our program attracts a diverse student body and accommodates working families in and around Lynn, Massachusetts. The school has two classrooms, serving a maximum of 34 children, aged 2.9-5 years.

Cairn Hill’s mission is to prepare children from all backgrounds for personal and academic success through joyful learning opportunities rooted in nature, play and the arts.

As Director, you will:
- Be the face of the school and set an inspirational and upbeat tone for teachers and families
- Complete requirements of maintaining licensing with the MA Dept. of Early Education and Care (EEC)
- Provide vision, leadership, mentoring and supervision to staff and teachers
- Oversee marketing efforts, publicity and recruitment of families and maintain active waiting lists, enrollment, payroll, and school expenses
- Create positive partnerships with families by serving as a responsive, compassionate resource
Position is full-time and commences immediately.
Position may entail teaching in addition to administrative responsibilities.
Salary competitive, commensurate with experience.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

- Meets new MA EEC Minimum hiring requirements for Directors
- Proven management/preschool leadership experience
- Preschool teaching experience
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Social Media, blogging, etc.)
