First Grade Class Teacher

The Minnesota Waldorf School is currently accepting applications for a full-time first grade class teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.
Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s Degree as well as a Waldorf Teaching Certificate or a Master’s Degree in Waldorf Education. Qualified candidates will have teaching experience and a dedication to Waldorf education, as well as a deep love for working with young people, effective teaching skills that nurture and help develop the children’s highest capacities, and a strong desire to implement equitable, anti-racist teaching practices. The Minnesota Waldorf school is home to a vibrant faculty and parent community, qualified candidates will display a willingness to work in true collaboration with colleagues and parents.
Minnesota Waldorf School is a PreK – 8th grade independent school. Our beautiful campus is nestled on eight acres of woods and green space with gardens, chickens, and a fully equipped playground. We offer a rich curriculum with Handwork, Movement, French, Woodwork, Strings, Choir, and Recorder.
Our campus is easily accessible from all parts of the Twin Cities metro area, which boasts a vibrant cultural life with world-class restaurants, venues, and museums. There are many parks, lakes, and hiking trails throughout the metro area, and numerous greenways and well-marked bike lanes make bicycle commuting very accessible. The Twin Cities boast multiple food co-ops, alternative health practitioners, and resources for green living.
Salary and Benefits:
Full-time positions include full tuition remission, continuing education funds, pre-tax 401k account, life and disability insurance, medical and dental coverage for employees, and partially subsidized insurance for dependents. Base salary starts at $34,500 with additional increments for Waldorf training and experience.
