Edge Hill Country School is now accepting applications for the position of Kindergarten Co-Lead Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year.
Edge Hill Country School is seeking a Co-Lead Kindergarten teacher who will teach alongside our current lead teacher and our current kindergarten assistant to create a warm loving home-like classroom. Our Kindergarten teachers model qualities such as self-discipline, creativity, imagination, respectfulness, gratitude, interest in the world, reverence for all things, personal reflection, development, and ongoing inner practice and a willingness to work.
This is a full-time, salaried position with tuition remission. The yearly salary range is based on education and experience, ranging from $22,000 to $37,000. Regular hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:15am - 3:30pm, with one 2 hour afternoon/evening faculty meeting each week. Kindergarten faculty will also be responsible for regular check-ins and meetings and supporting class enrolment. Two weeks should be reserved for after the last day of school for closing tasks.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
• a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education or a related field
• completed Waldorf ECE Training
• a minimum of 3 years experience working with children in an educational setting
• a deep commitment to Waldorf principles and interest in self-development
• good interpersonal and communication skills
• a desire to contribute to the school through festivals and committee work
