Teacher / Guide for learning cooperative
Nov 28 2021 | The Wonder Studio | Newport Beach, California
We are looking for a teacher / guide with Waldorf training and/ or experience to join us in offering our beautiful, alternative approach to elementary education.
The Wonder Studio is a nature-based learning cooperative for homeschooling or unschooling students in kindergarten through 5th grade, with plans to expand to include middle school.
We prioritize social-emotional health, students’ own interests, academics with real-world relevance, outdoor exploration time, and the development of entrepreneurial skills including collaboration, innovation and effective communication. A cornerstone of The Wonder Studio is that we foster a community of families that support and encourage one another.
We empower students to learn by exploring our world and following their own unique interests. We connect learning to life by prioritizing individual student engagement within a diverse and inspiring community. Each day offers time for self-directed projects, collaboration, problem-solving, connection to nature, and an unhurried rhythm that nurtures relationships. Our methods are primarily inspired by Waldorf education, Montessori education, John Dewey, and The Reggio Approach.
If you are excited about the possibility of being part of a revolution in education and working with students in creative and engaging ways, please contact us.
Please send your resume and a letter of interest to info@thewonderstudio.org OR christina@seastarvillage.org.
