HS Humanities Teacher
Nov 12 2021 | Pasadena Waldorf School | Los Angeles, CA
We are seeking a colleague to join our high school faculty to help complement our humanities department.
Primarily we seek great teachers who love their work, and we encourage candidates from racial and cultural backgrounds not typically represented in private schools to consider working with us.
The successful candidate would have relevant degrees, preferably at master's or higher level. They would be an expert in either English or history and eager to transform their curriculum expertise into engaging and challenging lessons delivered to high-school students in a lively manner. A willingness to create new courses and tailor your work to the Waldorf school curriculum and community is a must.
Our teachers work together to support a strong and meaningful Waldorf education for students in preschool through twelfth grade.
Candidates must possess a commitment to personal and professional development and a willingness to work well with others. Our dedicated, experienced, and passionate faculty is supported by the College of Teachers, Pedagogical and Business Administrators, and a capable administrative team. Our school receives generous support from a parent community who deeply value this education for their children.
Pasadena Waldorf School offers a base salary of $47,000 with increments for experience and training. Our faculty enjoys many benefits, including support for professional development, tuition remission for enrolled children, and family medical and dental plans.
Applicants should mail or email a letter of interest, resume, email contacts for three references including most recent school employer, and a brief biography to Pedagogical Administrator Erin Şemin at esemin@pasadenawaldorf.org. Our address is 209 E. Mariposa St., Altadena, CA 91001.
