The Golden Valley River School, in its 23rd year, will be seeking a new Principal. River School has 300 students, k-8 on a 25,000 sq. foot campus next to a local park. We are in Sacramento County within walking distance to Lake Natoma. The faculty is Waldorf trained. With the retirement of our beloved principal in June, the school is considering a transition time this Spring to bring a new school leader into the community. Golden Valley operates three schools and this position is supported by an executive director, special education director, compliance manager, and central office with HR, business manager, student records, enrollment, etc.

The purpose of this position is to focus on the students and teachers. This is a rare opportunity to join a leading network of public charter schools. There will be internal candidates as well as educators across the movement interested in applying so please reach us soon. Interviews will begin in December with an official start July 1, 2022 but ideally in the Spring, depending on the applicant.
