Aftercare Lead teacher - immediate start

Hello dear teachers!
Join out team at Circle of Friends at beautiful Bend, Oregon!
We are currently hiring for a lead position for our aftercare program. Pay depends on experience and starts at $18~20.
Aftercare goes from 1pm to 5:30.
Our aftercare usually has 12 – 18 children a day. Families register in advance, so we can plan staff accordingly. We use 2 rooms during the aftercare session – our nap room for the younger children and then the resting room.
1:00 Teacher begins setting up for big rest with pillows in resting room and mats in the nap room. Then help with supervising students during the lunch recess (may stay in, in the bad weather),
1:30 Teachers divide the group according to nap and resting rooms
1:45 – 2:30 Teachers read books during rest.
2:30 - those awake get up and have quiet indoor play,
have a simple crafts or table activity, or bake muffins
3:15 - Snack
3:45 - Clean up and getting winter gear on.
4:00 - Outside playtime
5:30 - Closing
Teacher’s Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and healthy environment
Follow the Aftercare rhythm each day
Lead the transition from play time to rest time
Set up and organize resting room with pillows and nap room with mats
Supervise the resting room during "big rest" for preschoolers (assistant supervises nap room)
Supervise during free play time and lead transition to snack & recess
Coordinate with other teacher during all structured activities
Follow bathroom routines
Follow Cleaning routine at end of day
Follow Child Care Division Rules for The Certification of Child Care Centers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have one or the more
Experience teaching 2 – 5 year olds in group setting for 1 year
Completed 20 credits of college level training in child development
Completed 10 credits and at least 6 months of teaching experience in childcare
-Must have all or BE WILLING to acquire the following:
Knowledge of Waldorf education thru handouts/trainings
Current child 1st Aid/CPR Card, Health and Safety training, Food Handlers Permit; Child Abuse and Neglect Training; Intro to Child Care Health and Safety https://oregonearlylearning.com
Interest and skills in classroom management, also skills in organizing and leading nap time, snack time, transitions
Communication skills with children, parents and co teachers
