Spanish Teacher
Nov 02 2021 | Asheville Waldorf School | Asheville, North Carolina
The Asheville Waldorf School is seeking a Waldorf-trained foreign language teacher to join our school faculty ASAP for this school year.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have completed their Waldorf Grades Training and have experience as a teacher in a Waldorf classroom. Teachers new to Waldorf education are also welcome if they have a serious interest in developing themselves as a language teacher. We seek teachers with a deep understanding of child development, an interest in Anthroposophy, a love of working with young children, and the enthusiasm and energy to be involved in the growth of a pioneering school.
Asheville Waldorf School:
The Asheville Waldorf School is entering its eleventh school year. In the 2021/2022 school year, we offer multiple parent-child classes, one nursery class, two kindergartens, and grades first through sixth/seventh. Our growth has been consistent and our class sizes are healthy.
The Asheville Waldorf became an associate member of WECAN in 2017 and of AWSNA in 2018. Our organization consists of a cohesive and striving faculty, a solid board of directors, a committed administration, and a loving and involved community of parents and families.
Asheville, North Carolina:
Asheville is an ideal place to live, well known and visited for its beautiful outdoors (it is surrounded by three mountainous National Forests), its abundance of activity options that come with the landscape and ecosystem, and its rich arts, crafts, and music culture. Asheville’s many restaurants and micro-breweries make it a highly sought out tourist destination.
Local, sustainable agriculture is also a hallmark of this town, which supports seventeen farmers’ markets for less than 100,000 residents. If you like to eat local, organic food, participate in public music events (like community chorus), and be surrounded by art, it’s a great place to be.
