Development & Community Life Assistant

Waldorf School of Lexington, now in its 51st year, is currently accepting applications for a full-time (flexible 30-40 hours/week) Development and Community Life Assistant. This onsite position offers remote flexibility, has an immediate start date, and offers full benefits with a salary that is commensurate with experience. This position reports to the School Director.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
2-3 years development experience, preferably in a Waldorf or independent school development or advancement office
Experience in prospecting, cultivating, and managing donor accounts
Confident, professional, and friendly person with an outgoing personality
Demonstrated relationship management and development skills
Motivated self-starter with a positive, “can-do” attitude
Project planning and management skills for events and campaigns
Strong verbal and interpersonal communications skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly, and persuasively
Familiarity with Waldorf educational philosophy, values, and methods is helpful
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Google Education platform; Blackbaud Raiser's Edge experience is strongly preferred
The primary responsibilities for this position include:
Assist with support and execution of all fundraising campaigns and initiatives, working closely with school leadership and administration. This includes but is not limited to: gift processing, donor acknowledgment, and day-to-day management of the Raiser’s Edge database.
Logistical support for special events and community life initiatives, such as festivals, parent education events and other on-campus activities.
Support alumni relations by collecting and tracking alumni contact information and news updates.
Work with Business Office associates to assure that Raiser’s Edge donor activity is properly reflected in the financial records of the school.
General duties assigned by the School Director and Admissions & Community Life Manager
