Class Teacher Assistant
Oct 19 2021 | Rudolf Steiner School | New York City, NY
Class Teacher Assistant
Fall 2022
The Rudolf Steiner School has an opening for a Class Teacher Assistant in the elementary school for the 2022-23 school year. We prefer Class Teacher Assistants to be in the midst of, or have completed their Waldorf teacher training. We are currently interviewing and ask interested applicants to submit their materials as soon as possible.
The Rudolf Steiner School is the first Waldorf School in North America, founding Waldorf Education in the United States in the vibrant city of New York. Growing from a school with 12 students in 1928 to an N-12 school of 320 in 2016, the school offers a wide variety of enlivening educational experiences for its students and a supportive environment for students, teachers, and parents.
Located in the heart of the Upper East Side, the school is close to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, and other museums on Museum Mile. The school is less than a block away from Central Park, which is the playground for the Early Childhood and Lower School students.
The school offers competitive salaries and a strong benefit plan, which includes full medical benefits, a retirement TIAA-CREF plan, and life insurance. Another benefit is our school lunch program, which provides a delicious and nutritious lunch to all children, faculty, and staff members.
RSS is a member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America and is accredited by both AWSNA and the New York State Association of Independent Schools. RSS Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization incorporated under the laws of N.Y. State and does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, sex, sexual orientations, gender identity or national origin. We prefer candidates with a strong interest in professional development around cultural competency and fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
Please send a letter of interest, resume, and short biography to Nancy Ho-Cortes, Rudolf Steiner School, 15 E. 79th St. New York, NY 10075, or by email at nho-cortes@steiner.edu.
