Founded in 1995 as Three Cedars Waldorf School, the legacy continues as Eastside Community School moves to Issaquah, WA beginning in September 2021. We seek an Early Child (EC) Afternoon Assistant/After Care Teacher. Ideal candidates possess an interest in Waldorf education and wish to work closely within well-established Preschool – Grade 8 Programs that meet Washington State requirements for independent schools.

With both the stability of an established community, and the fresh pioneer spirit of a relatively new Board and identity, we find ourselves in a unique position of being able to draw on the strength of the past, and to ask ourselves questions like what it truly means to be a Waldorf school at this juncture in human history, and how we can go beyond labels or dogma to meet the lived experience of our students each day.

Qualifications
• Training or experience working in Early Child education
• Interest in Waldorf Education
• Ability to create a warm and caring environment, while also providing good boundaries for the students
• Able, unassisted, to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds in weight
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience. Day starts at 11 a.m.and ends at 6:30 p.m. Benefits include dental and health insurance, partial tuition remission, and the possibility for professional development support and mentoring.
