Front Office Assistant: Immediate Opening
The Detroit Waldorf School seeks a Front Office Assistant. There is an immediate opening for this position. This is a full time, year round position, Monday-Friday. This position reports to the Front Office Manager and the Administrative Chair.
The Front Office Assistant will greet visitors warmly and create a welcoming office environment for parents, students, faculty, and staff. Work will include but is not limited to preparation of documents or materials for reports, meetings and events, updating records, managing databases, office spaces and supplies, phone calls, incoming and outgoing mail, data entry, scheduling and coordinating meetings. The Front Office Assistant will also attend and support student needs and maintain records of office visits. Managing daily attendance and dismissal sheets and filing are daily tasks. The Front Office Assistant will support additional duties for the Front Office Manager and Administrative Chair as needed.
Qualities and Qualifications
Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or higher with experience in administrative office practices and procedures and standard office software applications. We are looking for someone who is reliable, highly organized and detail-oriented, flexible and can multitask in a busy office environment. We are seeking an individual who is punctual, can meet a multitude of competing requests and deadlines, possesses superb communication skills and demonstrates patience, professionalism and confidentiality. First Aid and Adult and Pediatric CPR and Epi-pen certification and a background check are required. Experience or interest in Waldorf education preferred.
Hours and Compensation:
Monday-Friday
$15.00 per hour and does not include benefits
Paid holiday break in December, snow days, and sick time
