We are a family currently in the process of transitioning to homeschooling. We are looking for someone to help facilitate learning for our daughter in kindergarten, and potentially a small coop of other homeschool parents. We would be looking to have someone come to our home to teach.

We are drawn to the Waldorf and Montessori styles of teaching and want our daughter (and younger children as they grow) to learn through hands on experience, outdoor education and non structured play. We want her to have the opportunity to learn through self directed learning, while also be encouraged to try new things and have a level of structure that will allow for stability. We are looking for someone who can be with us in person about 3 days a week as we get started, with potential for more days. Our hope is to expand the teaching opportunity and create a nature based learning community that we can open up to future families looking for a similar solution. We are looking for a teacher who can help us get there as we build out the vision of what we are looking to create.

If you are someone who is energetic and passionate about creating a space for children to learn through nature, that truly believes that there are more ways to learn than the standard school system and that loves encouraging children to be themselves and can help bring out a passion for learning we would love the opportunity to speak with you!
