We are currently interviewing for an open 2nd Grade Teacher position for the current school year.

Sparrow Academy is a member of the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education. Teachers at Sparrow receive annual training and onsite support to integrate Waldorf teaching methods with the California Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, creating a rich

What we’re looking for in our teachers:
● Exemplary elementary teaching skills and experience
● Effective and respectful classroom management techniques
● Effective, accurate, and organized written communication skills
● Healthy interpersonal communication skills
● Effective time-management skills
● Willingness to learn and grow as a professional Waldorf educator
● Prior experience/training in Waldorf methods strongly preferred

Requirements:
● California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
● 2+ years elementary classroom teaching experience with Waldorf methods
or
● 4+ years of elementary teaching experience if no Waldorf experience
