Grade Three Teacher

Tamarack Waldorf School seeks a Grade Three teacher to continue the journey through the grades with our Grade Three class beginning with the 2021-2022 school year. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic Waldorf educator and collaborative colleague. A bachelor’s degree is required. A Waldorf Teaching certificate and successful teaching in a Waldorf school are highly valued. Tamarack offers competitive wages and benefits based on education and experience.
Tamarack Waldorf School is a full member school of AWSNA, encompassing early childhood through Grade 8, with a typical enrollment of 245 students. Additionally, we serve many families with younger children in our parent-child classes. A culturally, economically, and racially diverse student body from throughout the Milwaukee region is guided through the full complement of Waldorf Education by Tamarack’s well-trained, innovative, and long-serving faculty and staff. Our faculty is committed to continuous growth and improvement, and our pedagogy is strongly rooted in Anthroposophy.
The school is situation within walking distance of many nature settings in an urban landscape, such as the Milwaukee River, Lake Michigan, parks, playgrounds and museums. Milwaukee is rich in its cultural heritage and diversity celebrating it with many festivals and celebrations that take place throughout the year and city. As part of the Great Lakes Region we are fortunate to have four distinct seasons of the year, with plenty of activities that take place to celebrate the changes of season. Our campus is in an urban setting and housed in a historic school building with beautiful windows that allow for an abundance of natural light.
